Rosa-Maria Romero is the South Pacific/Oceania's highest ranked IFBB Figure Pro - ranked top 16 in the world, International IFBB Judge, Presenter, Trainer, Actress, Cover Model & Mother of two...

Australia's most successful female competitor of all time...

Born in Paddington, Sydney, September 19th 1975, Rosa went to an all girl's high School in Waverley and completed her H.S.C. at Kincoppal Rose Bay, Convent of the Sacred Heart. She was very athletic growing up and played many sports including netball, tennis and field hockey.

Along with sports Rosa loved to dance. She had her first dance lesson at the age of three and over the years performed at lots of Eisteddfods, functions, television shows and concerts. She studied contemporary jazz, ballet, tap, character and flamenco. However she became extremely passionate about flamenco, the traditional dance from Spain and this brought her closer to her culture and background. Her parents were born in Spain and immigrated to Australia in 1961.

This led her to establish an exclusive Flamenco Dance School (Spanish Rose Dance Studio) at the age of 16. Her students ranged from children as young as 2 yrs through to adults. She also began teaching Aerobics at various Health Clubs and schools as had become a certified Fitness Trainer and Aerobics Instructor.

Shortly after, Rosa was introduced to competitive aerobics and competed at State and National level. She won the NSW state title and was runner up in the Nationals.

In 1995 she was selected to be a part of popular TV show Aerobics Ozstyle and worked as a Fitness Presenter for Channel 10 Australia which led to further assignments and opportunities. Over the past 10 years she has appeared in numerous commercials and films and is Australia's favorite Fitness Presenter. Rosa can be seen daily on Foxtel and Channel 9 promoting Fitness & Beauty products.

It wasn't until April 2003 after the birth of her two boys Dylan and Jaime, that Rosa began training seriously with weights. She was so impressed with the changes weight training had made to her physique that in October 2003, decided to enter her first figure show. She took top honors and has since been crowned Miss Australia 3 times.

In 2006, she was granted Pro Status after placing 4th at the IFBB World Women's Bodybuilding, Fitness & Figure Championships in Santa Susana Spain, making her the highest ever placed Australian female in the sports history at this event.

Rosa currently resides in Sydney, Australia and has committed herself to the health and fitness industry, promoting the sport worldwide. She has established herself as Australasia's favourite fitness model appearing in over 185 publications world wide including Iron Man, Oxygen Magazine, New Zealand Fitness and is still frequently on television promoting fitness and beauty products.
