Ed Corney - RIP.
Born November 9, 1933 in Hawaii, passed away 1st January, 2019, aged 85.

The sport of bodybuilding has just lost one the true all-time greats of the sport. A legend of the sport. Ed suffered a brain aneurysm (stroke) on Christmas Eve and battled on for a week before eventually passing away on New Year's Day, 2019.

Universally recognised for his role in Pumping Iron and pictured on the cover of the book of the same name, Ed is regarded as one of the best bodybuilders in history, and one of the greatest posers of all time. His charismatic posing electrified his audience. He was the Master Poser. At the 1977 Mr. Olympia in Columbus, Ohio, Ed received 3 standing ovations for his incredible posing routine.

Apart from appearing in the Arnold movie Pumping Iron, Ed Corney was also a title holder at the Mr. America, Mr USA and Mr. Universe contests. He was a Masters Olympia winner, and had been honoured as an IFBB Hall of Fame recipient.

Remembering Clive Jaques - 35 Years service.
It was 7 years ago today that long-term GMV camera team member and photographer/interviewer passed away. He worked with me from 1971 to 2006. A total of 35 years loyal service to GMV. He was taken by that cruel disease Alzheimer's.

This period included every NABBA Universe from 1971 to 2006. In most of these years Clive drove me, along with my film or video equipment, to these contests in various parts of England.

One of his best interview efforts can be heard in the 2004 FIBO DVD and Download "FIBO 2004 - MUSCLES TO THE MAX".
