It was a massive battle betwen defending champ JOHN BROWN and Mr America JEFF KING, with Jeff coming out on top.
MARY SCOTT of Scotland was a narrow winner in the Bikini Class over Australia’s BETH LOPEZ.

The Men's Medium Class 2 went to Vince Brown and Short Class 3 was won by Terry Phillips, both from UK.

This workout feature was shot by GMV 3 weeks out from the 2004 NPC Nationals where ERYK BUI won the Middleweight Class and gained his PRO CARD.

Also includes Eryk winning the Olympia Expo Bench Press contest with 50 reps with bodyweight, and his posing and victory at the 2004 NPC Nationals.

NABBA is the first and original international bodybuilding association. Commencing in 1950, NABBA's first Mr Universe contest was won by Steve Reeves who defeated Reg Park.

Other great legends of the sport who won the Mr Universe title include Reg Park, Bill Pearl and Arnold Schwarzenegger (four-times winner). Then through to modern day winners such as Ed Kawak, Charles Clairmonte and Eddy Ellwood.

The story is told by Ivan Dunbar who was present at every Universe from 1948 till the time prior to his death in 2009. The video is loaded with historic VIDEO CLIPS of the action that is being talked about at the time.
