The 1988 IFBB Australasia was held in Sydney - and it was a blockbuster, attracting the cream of Australia's bodybuilders. The largest crowd to date was in attendance with enthusiastic fans hanging from the rafters. Ian Riley walked away with top honors in the Men's Over 90kg Heavyweight division. His size, hardness and balance, coupled with a stylish posing display made him the male star of the show.
The Women's Over 52kg winner, blonde bombshell, Melissa Croft, worked hard for her victory. She had good muscular size, great legs and a winning personality. Ms. International, Erica Giesen, gave the appreciative audience more than their money's worth with a sensational guest posing routine lasting more than 5 minutes.
