Treasures!

Over the Christmas break Wayne & I were trawling through the warehouse, and found a real treasure.  It's the 1996 IFBB South Beach Pro Cup (A-0908) in which Flex Wheeler actually beat (probably for the last time) Ronnie Coleman.  A huge number of competitors with some interesting names, including Rich Gaspari.  Also one of the rare video appearances by Eddie Robinson who placed 4th.  You can expect more treasures in the coming weeks.

And I can't believe that I forgot to publish the last 9 or so issues of Powerlifter Video Magazines - you can check them out in the Male Videos - Strength Features section.

Merry Christmas

A very Merry Christmas to all our friends, customers, readers - and anybody else who stumbles across our site.  Wayne, Tina & all the staff at GMV wish you the compliments of the season, and look forward to talking to you all after the festivities.  We are only closing for the public holidays, so will be in the office Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week as usual.

2000 Ms. Olympia Pump Room

The very first ever Ms. Olympia Pump Room video.  You ain't seen nothing like this!! Just check out the photos - they're brilliant, and the video is even better.  GMV-390 - an absolute must for your collection.

This is tape # 5 of our 6 tape "behind the scenes" series of videos from the 2000 Olympia Weekend.  Tape # 6 will be the Men at Muscle Beach plus other magic male moments from the Olympia weekend - and it's all new footage - nothing is repeated.

Finally - There's a link to Dave Draper's site on our V-108, through which you can access the article which Wayne wrote for Dave on the 1970 Mr. Universe.  

Andrulla Blanchette

I just had a look at GMV-45, which was a very early video Wayne made of current Ms. Olympia Andrulla Blanchette, when she was only 20.  I discovered an error on the page (which has now been fixed), and I've put up a heap of photos as Andrulla was then.  It's worth taking a look.  Pix of the A-1001 Mr. Olympia, A-1002 Ms. Olympia and A-1003 Ms. Fitness Olympia are now up.

The three official videos of the Mr. Olympia (A-1001), the Ms. Olympia (A-1002) and the Ms. Fitness Olympia (A-1003) will be available as from Wednesday 20th December.

The 2000 Olympia Expo - The Women!

The fourth video from the Olympia Weekend series has now been released.  It's brilliant - take a look at GMV-389.  All the women from the Olympia Weekend Expo.  Wayne took Valentina Chepiga (the current Ms. Olympia) to the beach at the Mandalay Bay hotel, and shot a segment especially for this video.  And check out Christine Envall's calves.

OLYMPIA EXPO - MILLENNIUM EDITION!

The next video from the Olympia Weekend series has now been released.  It's brilliant - take a look at GMV-388.  And the special Millennium signed edition of the set of Pump Room videos is also ready.  Strictly limited to a run of 100 sets - well worth a place in anyone's collection.  See GMV-2000.

2000 Mr. Olympia Pump Room - Part 2!!

The second Mr. Olympia Pump Room is now ready (GMV-387) - and if you want to buy both videos - parts 1 and 2 - the price is only $69.00 for both (plus post).  But before you make your purchasing decision, there is a very special deal in the pipe line.  We are producing a Limited Millennium Edition of this very important 2-volume set.  You can acquire both videos specially presented in a library case, with a certificate, personally signed by the film maker/producer Wayne R. Gallasch.  This edition will be limited to a run of 100 hundred copies only and the price will be $99 plus insured post of $10.00.  The Signed Millennium Limited Edition will be available as from Monday 11th December.

A new book!

A brand new book for you to consider, is Brother Iron, Sister Steel by the great Dave Draper.  This book was launched at the recent Legend's Reunion in Los Angeles which was held in Wayne's honour, and was attended by both Dave and his wife Laree.  There's a long history with Wayne & Dave going right back to the 60s when Dave presented Wayne with a 2nd place trophy at the Mr. South Australia contest.  They've always kept in touch, and Wayne recently wrote an article for Dave's website recounting Dave's appearance in the famous 1970 NABBA Universe.  If you want to see Dave in that contest, we have it on video (of course!!!) - V-108.

News Archives - AND GUESS WHAT - 2000 Mr. Olympia Pump Room Part 1 is Ready!!

Guess what?  GMV Productions has just about won the race to see who can get the first video out about the 2000 Olympia.  Of course, we're not the ones releasing the official contest tape - although we are a distributor - but we're the only ones who have produced a series of Behind the Scenes at the Olympia Weekend videos.  And the very first one is ready.  It's the Mr. Olympia Pump Room # 1, which concentrates on the scenes in the Pump Room during rounds 1 and 2.  It's GMV-386 and runs for 1 hour.

I have archived all the old News items because the page was taking too long to load down.  See "News Archives" if you want to catch up on all the old gossip.

I also found some great pix from FIBO '99 - see V-98.  In reviewing the pix it becomes blindingly obvious we should have subtitled this video Leather & Chains.  If you look at the pix you'll see exactly what I mean.  

All the Universe videos now ready!

All 5 Universe videos are now ready.  That's GMV-383 The Women's Prejudging & Show; GMV-384 - The Women's Pump Room;  GMV-381 The Men's Prejudging; GMV-382 The Men - The Show; and finally GMV-385 - The Men's Pump Room.  5 fabulous videos to celebrate the Millennium edition of the NABBA Universe.  Probably the nicest thing to happen in the whole event was SERGEI OGORODNIKOV of Russia winning the Amateur Universe.  He's been competing for years, and always placed 2nd or 3rd, but this year was his year, and he was a great winner.

Women's Muscle Power # 10 now out!!

Women's Muscle Power # 10 has finally been released.  It's a stunning video, showcasing some of the most defined and muscular Figure & Fitness women you'll ever see.  For more details, see GMV-380. 

We've also finished editing the 2000 Universe women's video (Prejudging & Show); The Men the Show, and the Men's Prejudging, but I haven't done the covers yet.  They are all selling for $49.00 each, so if you want one without the cover, please order by the following code numbers:  GMV-383 - THE WOMEN; GMV-382 -THE MEN'S SHOW; and GMV-381 - THE MEN'S PREJUDGING.

Well, I'm Back

I'm back, but Wayne is still away.  What a trip!!  We have gathered some of the most brilliant footage.  I was just talking to Wayne (he's still in the States), and he's ecstatic about what he shot at the Olympia weekend.  I brought back the Universe wilds with me, and we have almost finished editing the 2000 Universe Women's video already.

You will notice that I have re-organised the "Links Page".  It was getting a bit unwieldy and took too long to load down, so I've indexed it and you can just click on your specific interest - Organisations, Male, Female, Miscellaneous.  There's even a non-bodybuilding miscellaneous for those sites which don't actually belong in bodybuilding, but they could be of interest.  I'll be putting some of our hotels and travel sites up for example - those that we have been particularly impressed with.  

For instance there's a place in Northumberland (north-east of England) which is absolutely out of this world.  Self-catering cottages overlooking a tiny valley - so peaceful, and just a couple of miles from the sea, and that most dramatic of places Bamburgh Castle.  Even better, they have a fantastic gym, undercover swimming pool and hairdresser and beautician on site. There's not a web page yet - but as soon as you've got one Lance, I'll put it up!!  In the meantime if you are desperate to visit there, just email LWROBSON@aol.com.  

Back to bodybuilding - I'll be putting up some more backlist up over the next few days.  I keep getting told off about it by you, my customers.  I don't blame you, and I'll do my best to get more of them up for you - even if I don't have all the pix available.

New Pix!

Can't you always tell when we're about to go overseas?  There's a frenzy of postings on the site as we attempt to get up to date.  Check out V-108 (1970/71 NABBA Universe): there's some great new pix of Dave Draper, which  also includes Arnold and Reg Park in a couple of them.  And finally - we have stocks of Denise Masino's Muscle Elegance # 9 magazine.

Wayne will be away for just over 6 weeks, doing the NABBA Universe, a couple of Grand Prix and UK competitions, and an trip to USA to tape at the Olympia Weekend - yes there will be some brilliant backstage footage (as always), and to complete the taping on our major project for the Year 2000, a feature on Gunter Schlierkamp.  Please DON'T ask me when the feature is to be released because I don't know.  However an educated guess would be to say late this year.  Tina is going with Wayne for the Universe bit, and will only be away for 3 weeks.

2 videos - one new and one not so new

We are delighted to have a couple of videos now available.  One is THE brand new release on MARVELLOUS MELVIN ANTHONY (A-4292), the the other has been around for a while but is still a fantastic video - Ronnie Coleman (A-4262).  Both are productions from USA and sold under license by GMV Productions.

2 new videos from Athena in France

Athena videos have two hot releases, which we are pleased to offer for the first time.  They say French are special, and judging by these two videos they are quite right.  Full of the famous French cinematic artistic flair.  See Maryse in Artistic Nude # 2 (A-3242) and Valerie in Artistic Nude # 1 (A-3241).

And a special announcement.  Our very own Wayne R. Gallasch was inducted into the NABBA Hall of Fame, for Services to Bodybuilding, at the Nationals held in Melbourne last week.  He's been behind the camera for over 30 years, and we estimate that roughly 10,000 bodybuilders have passed before his lens.  That's quite something and we are very proud of him.

Two new videos of the 2000 NABBA Pro-Am Universe Qualifier (used to be known as the Australasia).  The Women's video (GMV-377) is ready now, as is the Men - the Show (GMV-376).  Yet to come are the Men's Prejudging, the Men's Pump Room and the Women's Pump Room.  This was an absolute winner of a competition and new Australian President Graeme Lancefield is to be congratulated.

Customers who already have their credit card, current expiry date and signature on file with us don't need to keep on re-sending the details with each order.  All we need is your order, current address and your request to use the credit card held on file.  Please be assured that no card numbers or customer order details are held on our Internet computer.

Another piece of good news is that we  are currently having a shopping cart feature designed for this web site, which will make ordering a whole lot easier.

Staff Pix & A New Video

I should have explained - if you are looking for Marguerite amongst our staff pix, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed.  After 26 years of working with Wayne and for GMV Productions, Marguerite decided to retire a few weeks ago.  She's missed, believe me!!

There's one new video this week.  Gym Heat (A-3243) featuring Denise Masino, Peggy Schoolcraft, Gayle Moher and Dayana Cadeau.

Trying to catch up

It just goes to show that even with the best of intentions, I can't fulfil all my promises.  Next week, there'll be more Threshold videos.  In the meantime look at V-133 John Terilli & Bob Saad. We discovered that one of our long time customers (with the best of intentions) had advertised a video for sale saying that it was no longer available.  The actual fact is that we never ever delete any of our titles - and if it isn't up on the site, please don't just assume that we no longer have it.  Chances are we will have - I just haven't had time to advertise yet.

Trying to catch up

More from FIBO!

The second of our FIBO releases is now available - and it won't be long before the 3rd is ready.  Right now we have the NABBA/WFF Miss Millennium Figure and Fitness at FIBO 2000, GMV-371.  The next cab off the rank will the Men's Fitness at FIBO which is also bulking up to be a fantastic video.  Men's Fitness is enormously popular in Europe and we can see why.  These physiques are fantastic.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Guess what?  2000 FIBO - BICEP BLITZ has been released, and it is, in all sincerity, a humdinger of a video.  Please be patient when it's down loading it takes a while - but there are so many fantastic pix, (including 3 of that rather amazing newcomer Francisco Bautista).  90 fabulous minutes - see V-169 for more details.

IFBB Women's Worlds - amongst others!

I've finally got some absolutely magic pix to illustrate the 1999 IFBB Women's World Bodybuilding & Mixed Pairs Championships, held in Sydney.  See A-0992.  The 1999 IFBB Women's World  Fitness Championships are featured on A-0993.

A 'new' video to look at - actually an old one, but the first time on the web is V-132 - Distinti, Santiago, Makkawy, Navarette & Archambault, with some great pix by Wayne R. Gallasch.

2000 NABBA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

It happened even quicker than I expected.  Another 2 videos from the 2000 NABBA World Championships series are up today.  See GMV-367 and GMV-368.  There are also 2 pump room videos, but they're not up yet.  The Women's Pump Room is GMV-369  1 hour  $39.00 and the Men's Pump Room is GMV-370  1 hour and also $39.00.  

I've just noticed.  The site is 2 years old this week.  Boy, how we've grown in that time. 

And if you're into wacky Scottish literature there's a new link.  Yes, I know it's not usually our thing, but there is a bit of a joke attached.  They have a writer called Eddie Elwood, and they site is always being hit thinking that it's bodybuilding star, Eddie Ellwood.  They have given us a link because of this, so it's the least I can do to reciprocate.  Hey, Eddie, let's see your site up sometime very very soon!!

Here is the first of the Casey Viator videos - V-136.  By the way, all of these film to video transfers from our archives are in colour.  It's just that we mostly took pix in black and white in those days - hence I have very few colour photos to show you.  There are 3 other Viator videos, and they will be up shortly.

Customer Requests

It's great to see that so many people visit our site.  I've put up a couple of golden oldies today, specifically in response to customers' requests.  As I am sure you are aware, I've got hundreds of videos still to publish.  If you have any favourite, please let me know, and I'll put them to the top of the list.  Today's offerings are:  GMV-043 - Ian Dowe, and GMV-080 - Pete Kutsugeras.  There's also a heap of new photos showing that great Junior Physique Peter Wall - we still reckon he's one of the best Juniors Australia has ever produced.  Does anyone know what he's up to these days?  I'd love to know.

I haven't had a chance to get to Casey Viator yet - I'll fix that next week.  Thanks for all the input.

Just when you thought there were no more!

We still have plenty more up our sleeve when it comes to the 1999 Mr. Olympia.  Here is our latest release - The Complete Interviews.  The pix are great, and the video is great.  Just another aspect of the Mr. O that you would rarely see.

Back Again!

Is it really April since I last put up videos!  The time has gone by so quickly.  Since I last wrote, we've travelled the world taping all sorts of exciting events and contests for you.  Sean's been flat out editing, and today I have posted 4 new videos.   The first is The Adelaide Physique Classic - a local South Australian contest.  It's of real interest because all our winners went on to win at the NABBA Nationals, and then even better, two of them won at the Worlds in New Zealand, and in fact all our South Australian competitors placed very high when they didn't win.  So we are pretty proud of our South Aussies at the moment! 

The other competitions I have put up all relate to the 2000 NABBA Australian Championships, held in Queensland.  We have the Women's Prejudging & Show, the Men's Prejudging, and The Men - The Show.  Extremely high quality - both video wise and physique wise.

In the meantime, Sean is editing the NABBA World Champions held in New Zealand, and then he'll tackle the FIBO edit.  

Australians will be relieved to know that our video prices will not alter, despite the GST!!

Definitely the last!

OK, we couldn't go away without posting these 7 new videos.  GMV Productions is proud to announce that it has negotiated rights to distribute Repetrope videos for the 1999 NPC USA Men's Bodybuilding Championships.  With over 9 hours of total video time of all aspects of this prestigious contest you won't just see it, you'll experience it.  

Men of Muscle # 4: More Men with Attitude has now been posted.  Plus we realised that we hadn't done anything like justice to our Women's Muscle Power # 9, which featured all the contestants in the 1998 Ms. Olympia that didn't make the final.  It's a fantastic video, and to give you a feel for it, check out the 10 new photos just published today.

We haven't quite gone away yet.  Two new videos today -I'm trying very hard to publish all the new releases plus a few before we go away.  The 2 latest videos are Nasser El Sonbaty doing it his way, and The Battle for the Olympia '99.   North American customers please see the relevant video details on how you can order them.

Now, we are leaving early next week to go to Europe to tape FIBO in Germany.  This means there won't be any new stuff being posted for a while.  You can be sure that we will bring back lots of footage for a new FIBO video - it will be interesting to see which stars we can source for you this year.  In the meantime, Janet, Tracy and Marguerite will be holding the fort while we are away so don't hesitate to get in touch with them if you have any queries.

You might be interested to know that we have just remastered V-86A and V-86B, the 1994 NABBA Worlds held in Belgium.  As a result the Women's video now runs for 95 minutes instead of 90 minutes, and the Men's video now runs for 108 minutes.  I've added some really fabulous pics to the site as well.  I've also put some new pics up for the 1996 NABBA Universe: The Women - and that's all I had time for today!!

Yes, we've actually published a list of books we currently have in stock.  Please note that prices on all books are now in Australian dollars.  We ship books to overseas countries by sea mail unless requested otherwise, and the postage rates are available on request.  It depends entirely on the weight of the book or books concerned.  

Even though I don't always highlight new releases (either videos or books) in this section I do add something most weeks, so it's always worth while checking.  For example, take a look at Kim Jun Ho, the Asian champion from Korea - he's brilliant!

A truly great 'golden oldie' you may not have seen before - the 1970 and 1971 NABBA Universe.   Arnold's last Universe victory plus many many more stars of the golden age of bodybuilding.

Also 1991 Men & Women's Universe, and 1992 Men's & Women's Universe.  And plenty of stunning photos.

1993 and 1994 NABBA Universe videos have been posted (1993 men & 1993 women; 1994 Men & 1994 Women).  We are also putting up more pix for you to enjoy.  They are all copyright to GMV Productions, so if we do see any floating around cyberspace - watch out!!  Which brings me to another point.  We found some footage of Eddie Ellwood on a site - this was totally unauthorised, so we had the web master nuke the footage.  There are a couple of selected sites who do have permission to use our footage - but nobody else.  Please DO NOT post footage from GMV Productions on the net without prior permission.  It may be that we will have our own pay to view site in the future.  If, in the meantime, you do see what you believe to be unauthorised footage, please let us know, and we'll check it out.

The whole core Index has now been published - go to the home page, and scroll down to the heading "Catalogue" on the left hand side, choose your category, and away you go.  Please note that this Index is NOT linked to any pix or other details.  There is simply the code number, a short description, and the price.  Full details of some of the videos are listed under "videos" on the home page.  However, we do have many videos that are not included in the Index.  This is because we have some restrictions on distribution for many titles we hold.  PLEASE ASK, if you want something and you don't see it listed.  Even if we can't sell it to you, we will be able to send you to somebody who can.

The latest feature to be published is NICK JONES.  I can't speak highly enough of Nick, he's from Adelaide, and was an absolute joy to work with on this video.  The interview is one of the very best we have ever done.  It's interesting, informative, and Nick's not difficult to look at either!  Young, good looking and superbly built, he's going to be on the bodybuilding scene for many years to come.  There are lots of pix on his page, so enjoy.

I've also published the first two categories in our Index.  They are pretty big files, so may take a while to download.  They are for the Men's Contest videos and the Women's Contest videos.  there's some great classic material, so it's worthwhile have a look through.  Eventually we expect to have descriptions for all our video inventory on the site, as well as lots more photos. All of that is going to take quite some time, so we decided this was the best way to show you quickly what we have in stock.
