Dayna Maleton from Lyndhurst New Jersey, who also won the Arnold Classic Amateur bikini title, took the runner-up spot while Tatum Miranda from Studio City, California finished third. The very exciting heats and finals of the 2011 FLEX Bikini Model Search took place on the Main Expo Stage on Friday and Saturday. 2011 IFBB Pro World Masters Contest Complete Results!! 2011 IFBB Pro World Masters Contest. Miami Beach, Florida  December 10, 2011. Dexter Jackson and India Paulino were the two big winners at this the last major bodybuilding event for 2011, taking out the top prizes at the IFBB Pro World contests in Miami Beach, Florida. Dexter, the 2008 Mr. Olympia winner, took home $100,000 for first place, with India getting $20,000. The Best Comeback Award and $20,000 went to Bill Wilmore. Clive Jaques, RIP. Member of the GMV Team 1971-2005. Clive Jaques, RIP. It is with great sadness that we report the death on Saturday night, December 10th, 2011 of our dear friend and long time member of the GMV team, Clive Jaques. You will see Clive's name on hundreds of DVDs in the end credits, and on hundreds of pages of our site as photographer and interviewer. Back in 1971 at the NABBA Universe Clive approached me and asked if there was anything he could do to help after seeing me shooting the event on film on my own. From there a great relationship was born with Tina and I staying at Clive's home prior to the shooting of all subsequent contests in UK, and many times with Clive driving us to the contest. Clive remained a key member of our team till 2005 when health issues forced his retirement. Clive had a sharp wit, well educated with a law degree, his passions were languages and of course bodybuilding. He was a fantastic interviewer, doing key interviews from physique stars in our documentaries, to backstage in the pump room, to FIBOs, English Grand Prix and also did the Olympia DVD interviews towards the end of his career. His golden voice will be missed but will live on for ever in our DVDs. Clive became a most competent photographer and his work can be found on many of our DVD covers. He even shot the training video segment for me in Steve Creighton: The "Hell Hole" Workout DVD. This DVD is a tribute to the many skills, the dedication, loyalty and passion of Clive Jaques.

Bob Delmonteque RIP. Bob Delmonteque RIP. It is with great sadness that I report that famous bodybuilding and fitness identity, Bob Delmonteque, passed away on the morning of November 21 at his home in Malibu. Bob had been battling brain cancer throughout this year. His service will be held on Wednesday, November 30th at 1pm, Holy Cross Cemetery, 5835 W. Slauson Ave, Culver City, CA.  Bob was 93. I first met Bob at the 1999 Olympia in Las Vegas when he did an interview with me and some posing, along with some fun duo posing with Roland Kickinger. You can see this footage as part of our DVD called 1999 MR. OLYMPIA – BEHIND THE SCENES, GMV-358DVD. We extend our deepest sympathy to the Delmonteque family.

Two Classic IFBB Contests from the '70s!! 1973 IFBB Mr. Universe & 1975 IFBB Mr. Europe. Lou Ferrigno won this 1973 IFBB Mr. Universe contest, taking his class and then the Overall title beating such '70s stars as Mike Katz, Ken Waller, Al Beckles and Giuseppe Deiana. I feel that this was possibly the best Lou ever looked in amateur competition. He truly dominated the show and took the overall Mr. Universe title that day in grand style. The DVD consists of 33 minutes of Prejudging followed by 60 minutes of the evening Finals, with posedown and awards. A total of 93 historic minutes from the 1973 Mr. Universe. The last part of V-156DVD consists of highlights from the 1975 IFBB Mr. Europe contest held in Amsterdam, Holland. 2011 South Australian Bodybuilding Championships and list of Champions, Results Update, Rachel Book! 2011 NABBA/WFF South Australian Bodybuilding & Figure Championships. This long running state championships was recently held at the Norwood Town Hall. It was a single show format with each class being presented as the event went along. We witnessed the triumphant comeback and victory of BOOTA SINGH who last competed in 2000. Boota now joins a long band of South Australian state champions stretching back to 1963. 2011 INBA South Australian Natural Titles now released!! 2011 INBA South Australian Natural Physique & Figure Titles. The 2011 contest was held at the Norwood Concert Hall on Sunday, October 2nd.  The Overall Champions were the sensational newcomer SALIM HASSAN in the Men's section and a beautifully proportioned and conditioned TRACY WEST for the women. The hard working promoters were Phil and Vania Primmer. Ollie is presently editing this huge 9 hour event into 2 separate DVDs, one each for Men and Women. To celebrate the life of Australias very popular pro bodybuilding star, Luke Wood, we have put together a tribute to his life and career in bodybuilding. Special thanks to the Wood family and Phil Primmer for some of the photos. GMV was fortunate to be present to record most of Luke's professional contests. Team GMV earns Gold at the recent Australian Masters Games!! Team GMV earns Gold at the recent Australian Masters Games. All of the hard training has paid off for the GMV team of Wayne and Tina Gallasch when they earned 3 Golds and a Silver medal at the Indoor Rowing events (500m and 2000m) at the recent Australian Masters Games in Adelaide. It was an international event with rowers also competing from overseas. Tina's 2000m time was 8:50.7 at an average pace of 2:12.7  Wayne's 2000m time was 7:54.0 at a pace of 1:58.5  Both results were personal bests for the last 4 years. Team GMV is now training for the New Zealand Masters Games Indoor Rowing in February 2012! Clarence Bass was the man who introduced GMV to indoor rowing, back in 2003 when we were shooting his RIPPED 2 DVD in Albuquerque, NM, see GMV-545DVD. Then in 2004, Clarence had Wayne and Tina performing again in his 3rd and final DVD of the series, RIPPED 3 - MOTIVATION, GMV-578DVD. The 3 RIPPED DVDs are also available here as a set, GMV-578SPDVD. There is no video from the 2011 Masters Games, but you can see Wayne here as he sets the Australian 500m record for his age and class, with great encouragement from his coach Tina, pictured left. Wayne has just returned from shooting the DVDs for the 2011 NABBA/WFF Australian Bodybuilding Figure & Fitness Championships and the Elite Champions Saltwater Classic in Darwin, Northern Territory. This massive event brought to the top end of Australia 89 of our biggest and best competitors for an amazing show at the wonderful Darwin Convention Centre on Sunday. Competing for a total of $25,000 worth of prize money, male and female bodybuilding and fitness competitors from around the country posed and performed their routines in front of a top panel of national level judges. A massive and shredded ABRAHAM ELZAIBAK (pictured left) from Victoria took out the top prize in the Elite Men's division and also won the Overall Mr. Australia title. His $6000 in prize money will help towards his bid to win the 2011 NABBA Universe title. Jodie Howard from Queensland took out the top Figure title in the Elite Women's division, received $2000 for her efforts. Jodie was runner-up to Anne-Marie Lasserre for the Overall Figure Australia title. There will be separate DVDs for MEN and WOMEN. Warren Frederick, RIP. Warren Frederick, RIP. We are sad to announce the passing of Warren Frederick in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 at age 67. He died from a heart attack. Warren was retired from the army and is having a military funeral. He will be buried on Saturday Oct. 15th. I had the pleasure of working with Warren right after he placed 3rd in his class in the 1974 London NABBA Universe. (See his feature V-117DVD) The year before he placed 2nd in his '73 Universe class. He was an outstanding physique along the lines of a Bertil Fox or a Branch Warren. He was always regarded as one of the Most Muscular men in the world. Warren possessed hard core, brutal muscularity that was loved by the fans. In my opinion, Warren was the unofficial Most Muscular Man "winner" at the Universe each year he competed. Warren also won numerous titles with the WBBG and IFBB including Pro Mr. America (WBBG) and World Cup Pro Universe with the PBBA. He will be greatly missed. We extend our deepest sympathy to the Frederick family.
