Death of Bill Hemsworth, NABBA UK Legend!! Death of Bill Hemsworth, NABBA UK Legend. Bill Hemsworth died, aged 75, on Monday 13th May, 2013 after a period of illness. The first time I filmed Bill in a NABBA Universe contest was in 1971 (see V-108DVD), when he placed 5th behind Professional Class 2 winner FRANK ZANE. I will always remember Bill for his wonderfully fluid posing, great symmetry and silver hair. Bill competed alongside ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER five times, quite an achievement. In 1968 Bill Hemsworth set up the Furness Health Studio, in Barrow and ran it till the time of his death. The last time we filmed Bill was in the 1987 NABBA Pro Universe, won by OLEV ANNUS of Finland, see GMV-068DVD. Our condolences to the Hemsworth family.

Held in Darwin, NT on Sunday, 12th May, this was one of the best regional championships I have ever covered. The standard was incredible and there were 20 great competitors in the Sportsmodel Class won by Hannah Farmer. The Overall NABBA NT Men’s Winner was Phil Primmer. The Overall NABBA NT Women’s Figure Winner was Megan Warham. The DVD is presently being edited. More IFBB Pro Results!! 2013 IFBB Europe Men's Pro in Spain. Our congratulations to Robert Piotrkowicz for taking out the 2013 Europe Men's Pro against a very tough field, qualifying him for the 2013 Mr Olympia. Robert from Poland won from Baitollah Abbaspour of Iran in 2nd place, with Toney Freeman of USA in 3rd. Piotrkowicz has been working with coaching guru George Farah this year and they have now found the right combination for Robert to finally take a well-deserved victory. The massive legs and overall size of Baitollah Abbaspour have been coming in sharper and sharper each contest such that he has finally taken a top spot with his 2nd placing. You can see Piotrkowicz and Abbaspour in our 2012 Nordic Pro GP DVD, GMV-842DVD. Toney Freeman in 3rd place always looks great and was probably the favourite to win, but this was not his day for victory. 2012 NABBA Universe: Men - The Show now available!! 2012 NABBA Universe: Men - The Show. The Show DVD provides an in-depth look at many of  the best amateur competitors in the world. You will see the posing routines of all top 6 competitors in all classes. It was a big year for UK with many times Universe winner Gary Lister taking out the MASTERS OVER 40 title. Nigel Cox of UK won the MASTERS OVER 50 title. The DVD includes the posedown for the OVERALL Amateur Mr. Universe, won by UK's Andy Polhill of Scotland.
