This is the longest running pro show after the Mr. Olympia. It is the largest Pro show with typically 40 competitors and as such is said to be the most important event after the Mr. Olympia. It is also usually a controversial event in its results. For many new professionals it is their first pro show. The winners of this event read like a who's who of bodybuilding. Past winners go from Robby Robinson in the very first Night of Champions in 1978 to Dorian Yates and Jay Cutler in more recent times. Thus the latest winner, ORVILLE BURKE, joins a long line of champions. For the results, click here. For a full photo report see http://www.muscletime.com/. Three more guys qualified for this year's Olympia and they were TOM PRINCE, (his first Olympia), PAVOL JABLONICKY, and MIKE MATARAZZO. Pavol & Mike last competed in the Olympia in 1999. There are now 22 men qualified for this year's Olympia and we will list the competitors as we get closer to the Olympia weekend. Suffice to say that all of the 22 guys so far qualified have indicated that they will compete!! When Wayne DeMilia started this event back in 1978 Robby Robinson helped promote the show in the New York area. At the time it was thought to be something of a gamble to run such an event. However, it was a great success and was the forerunner of the present day Grand Prix circuit, which is organised by Wayne DeMilia, Chairman of the Pro Division.
