my sixth feature screenplay entitled PUSHIN’ WEIGHT is essentially ROCKY meets CLERKS. Here is a classic underdog story about bodybuilding told from my unique point of view as a former national competitor, Mr. Olympia official, former fitness editor, stand up comic, personal trainer and screenwriter. The film explores complete bodybuilding preparation AND the never before explored gym arena itself. Today everyone from the Wall Street executive to the woman getting ready for her wedding uses the gym. This is a positive portrayal on bodybuilding but also dead on in its realism because I’ve lived it. PUSHIN’ WEIGHT is a story onto itself that I wish to be further developed into a television show on the gym and its unique occupants. Picture FRIENDS in the gym.
