1993 NABBA World Championships:
Both PJ & Show now on separate Digital Downloads.
In 1993  NABBA International held their World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand. Competitors came from as far afield as Russia, England, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Samoa and of course, "locals" from Australia and New Zealand.

However Australia's DEBORAH COMPTON took out the Overall Women's Physique title, and TONY BARTON, Australia's top Junior Physique champion won his class with a resounding World Junior title.
The Men's Overall Mr. World title was won by ANTONIO VALENTI of Italy and the Overall Figure winner was MANUELA FRANZ of Germany.

The 2 Downloads or DVDs present the Complete Prejudging and Complete Show respectively, including the 3 Overall Posedowns.

ROGER CALLARD, TONY PANDOLFO, MIKE SABLE & JIM TARLETON now on Digital Download.  
ROGER CALLARD was filmed in 1977, at the legendary "Muscle Rocks", high in California's Malibu Mountains. Roger had just won his class in the 1877 IFBB American Bodybuilding Championships the week before.

Roger's motion picture career includes appearances in Sextette, Pumping Iron, Stay Hungry, World's Strongest Man and other films, as well as many TV and magazine ads worldwide!!  Roger was also a good friend of Arnold Schwarzenegger and sometime training partner. 

Also on this video, TONY PANDOLFO from NYC, in a super out-door session of pumping and posing at Vasquez Rocks, CA. Very macho muscle with fantastic closeup muscle shots! Shot on the day after Tony won the short class at the 1977 AAU Mr. USA. He was shredded and as hard as the rocks that surrounded us.

Plus Californian legends MIKE SABLE and JIM TARLETON, filmed on the Venice beach in sunny California in the late summer of 1980.

Death of Joe DeAngelis - Mr. America, Mr. Universe: 1966 - 2015 RIP.
I just learned that 1991 Mr. America and 1991 NABBA Universe Tall Class winner, Joe DeAngelis, passed away on May 7th from the effects of kidney failure. Joe has battled serious health problems in recent years, and it is sad to lose another champion so young.

I first worked with Joe in the studio, right after the NABBA Universe in 1987. On stage Joe posed confidently and aggressively to win his many titles. Joe is justly famous for his great arms and superb legs.

This was Tom's farewell English seminar tour. It was a memorable tour in every way. British cameraman Vaughan Jones went on tour with TOM PLATZ during his month long English jaunt. From the huge amount of material he shot, we present the very best from the Seminars, Workouts and Posing.

It’s perhaps better described as a very personal documentary on Tom Platz - world superstar of bodybuilding. Gutsy, charismatic, challenging, informative, and very entertaining. Not to be missed is Tom's complete posing routine.

Death of 1968 NABBA Bikini Universe winner Sylvia Hibbert.
I am sad to report the sudden passing of 1968 NABBA Bikini Universe winner Sylvia Hibbert on April 7th. Sylvia was born on March 24th, 1943. She was 72.
As Oscar said in the 1974 NABBA Universe programme…Specialty Acts: ….two great acts today, the Zeetonns – Norman and Sylvia Hibbert, recently returned from a Far East tour….etc. The Zeetonns were fabulous hand balancers. In 1998 Sylvia and Norman were both honoured by the Oscar Heidenstam Foundation (OHF) with the First Hall of Fame Award for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Physical Culture’.

In 1968 Sylvia placed 1st in the NABBA Miss Britain and also won the NABBA Bikini Universe that year. Norman was also a long-time competitor and was NABBA UK secretary from 1991 to 1997.

Mike & Ray Mentzer: In The Gym - now on Digital Download.
The awesome Mentzer brothers, fuelled by their intense rivalry, show what they can do when they pump iron together at the gym. Filmed in an LA gym late at night after closing time, they blast their way through their display workout routines with heavy weights. Although not the super heavy weights often used by Mike, this is the only known footage of them training together.

Next day we all head for Venice Beach where Ray Mentzer oils, pumps and poses in a fantastic solo presentation, for the final 15 minutes of the video. Some classic duo poses from this beach session are seen in the Photo Gallery.

As mentioned above, this film was shot on silent super 8 film, but we do get to hear Mike speak. Mike recorded a TRAINING SEMINAR that was sold on cassette tape. This seminar was later licensed to GMV from Muscle Media 2000 to be used as part of the soundtrack of this video.
This is extremely rare and valuable video footage for us, as we have no other recording of Mike's voice.

Mike Mentzer at the Beach & Muscle Rocks now on Digital Download. 
This DVD comprises three original films - "On the Beach", "At Muscle Rocks", and "In the Oil Field". It is the most famous series of 3 films we have ever produced at GMV.
In this 60 minute feast of muscle featuring the Legendary Mike Mentzer, he flexes, tenses, oils, pumps and poses. Filmed in the late seventies (1977) at Mike's all-time peak condition, he later went on to win the heavyweight Class at the 1979 Mr. Olympia.

Shot outdoors on the Marina del Rey beach in California and at Muscle Rocks in the Malibu Mountains, plus a segment posing in an oil field. Mike really turned on a heavy duty display. The closeups on his huge arms, calves, legs and chest are awesome. This is the first of 3 releases on the Mentzer brothers.

Mike turned on a complete posing and pumping display - definition, muscle mass, shape and veins. As he said to me at the time..."I will keep on posing for as long as you have film in your camera".

Opening with LANCE DREHER - guest posing at the 1984 South Australian Bodybuilding Championship.  Ripped to shreds and in the greatest shape of his life.

We cut to the 1984 Expo 5 Bodybuilding Championships in California, and the men's competition. Intense muscular posing by Russell Kite, Don Knipp, John Ramirez, Bill Howard, Kevin Lawrence, George Young, and others. This is rare footage of the late Bill Howard, a Muscle Beach legend.
Back to South Australia for the 1985 Adelaide Championships where we present guest poser BRIAN BUCHANAN from UK - 1984 Amateur Mr. Universe, 1995 Pro Mr. Universe and Pro World BB Champion. 

JEFF KING (1983 Mr. Universe) at a hard 250 pounds of muscle, is spotlighted once again at his South Australia seminar and posing. Our two cameras caught this awesome Mr. America and Mr. Universe champion as he wowed the huge audience.

1972 - Outdoor Pumping & Posing: London
This historic footage was shot by Wayne on Wanstead Heath, in London, 2 days after the 1972 Mr Olympia where Sergio narrowly lost to Arnold in Essen, Germany.
1977 - Outdoor Posing: Paris
Shot on the day after Sergio won the Pro Class of the 1977 WABBA World Championships, Sergio agreed to a poolside filming session, even though the November weather was extremely cold.

After the filming was over, we shot a series of CLASSIC POSES that have never been seen on our site before. They can now be found in the brand new SERGIO PHOTO GALLERY .

1989 NABBA Universe: The Women - Prejudging & Show now on Digital Download.
In the Figure Class, TRACEY CITRONE of England had the perfect combination of symmetry, condition and style to edge out the Austrian champion BEATA PLANK.
 
In the Women's Physique Class winner TATJANA SCHOLL, and SABINE WICK, both from Germany, were amazing with physiques from another planet!
 
When the smoke had cleared, Australia's defending champion LEISA CAMPBELL had to settle for 4th place, such was the quality of this contest. It also saw a record number of Aussie women competing with 4 in the FIGURE Class and 3 in the WOMEN'S PHYSIQUE Class.
 
The DVD includes the complete posing routines of every single competitor and at the show you see the posing routines of all top 6 finalists in each class through to the exciting posedowns and final awards.

1989 NABBA Mr. Universe - Men's PJ on Digital Download.
This was the last Universe to be held in the famous Wembley Conference Centre in London. The Men's PREJUDGING video brings you posing, comparisons and all of the action from the prejudging.
The evening SHOW video brings you all of the top 6 posing routines, posedown and awards.

In the AMATEUR DIVISION, the Short Class 3 winner was the current Mr. America - MATT DUFRESNE. It was the biggest year of his career winning the overall title at the Mr. America as well as at the Amateur Mr. Universe.
CASEY KUCHARYK of USA was the Medium Class 2 winner.
GARY LEWER of Australia was also in his best ever condition as he took out Class 1. 

1989 NABBA Mr. Universe: Men - The Show on Digital Download.
In the Junior Class (under 21 on the 1st day of the year), it was a very tightly fought battle between the 2 Aussie stars, MICHAEL MELKSHAM and PETER WALL. Michael Melksham was the clear winner on the day and he is the only Australian to have ever won the NABBA Junior Universe title.

In the Professional division, local English favourite CHARLES CLAIRMONTE beat out the challenge from former Olympia competitor and 5 times Mr. Universe winner EDWARD KAWAK of France. This was a 3rd Universe title for Charles.

Highlights included the Lifetime Achievement Award to LEE PRIEST, and VIP Guest ROGER WALKER.

The Jeff King Seminar plus Posing now also on Digital Download.
Jeff King was the 1983 AAU Mr America and 1983 NABBA Amateur Mr Universe winner. At the time he was probably the best amateur bodybuilder in the world.

The Jeff King leg development was unbelievable and way ahead of its time. Jeff was a great authority on bodybuilding and you will hear about diet and training. Jeff held nothing back and he surprised his seminar audience with some very interesting and somewhat controversial points of view.

There is no doubt that Jeff King was an unsung LEGEND, and one of the greats of bodybuilding.
