1987 IFBB Australasian Championships: The Show

The star guest posers were Rich Gaspari and Terry Mitsos.

Shot with 2 cameras, this contest was held in Sydney and was introduced by Rich Gaspari, with a voice-over for the event by Carole Graham. 

This is a very significant classic contest as it contains some rare footage of the late JYRKI SAVOLAINEN as he wins his Heavyweight Class. He was an 8 times IFBB Mr Australia winner. Sadly Jyrki Savolainen died on the 26th of May, 2005, at the age of 47 in his native Finland, as a result of an auto accident. He was one of Australia's greatest ever physiques, and was much loved in this country.
(Our only other footage of Jyrki is in the 1983 IFBB Amateur World Championships.)

The first Guest Poser was Terry Mitsos, and later in the show, Carole Graham interviews a 24 year old Rich Gaspari who then brings the house down with his guest posing routine.
