Review: Wayne Gallasch on George Negus Tonight TV Show DVD
In a brisk six-minute clip, this DVD provides a nice overview of Wayne Gallasch, what he's done and what he does so well, we might add, through a recounting of some of the high points Gallasch in Wayne’s own modest, well-spoken words.
You will take a quick trip through some stunning early Arnold footage, in the seminal days when Wayne Gallasch, who’d already been a successful bodybuilder and powerlifter, found what has become his life’s work. And what is that work? Simply to uncover, record, document, and chronicle what has come to be a video history of our sport. As Wayne says in his own quiet words, no one else saw the task, opportunity or even the value of pursuing of what has turned out to be the documenting of a significant portion of bodybuilding history. Wayne also shares the limelight with more than cameos and credit for his work with his son Sean, who provides powerfully important expertise in editing, and Wayne’s wife Tina, whose astute business acumen helps tie the whole enterprise together.
Wayne and his family are too humble to point out the amount of work, dedication and persistence which has been required to do what they do, nor would he ever point out how valuable and unique their dedication and service to our sport have been. So this reviewer will. A great service undertaken by a fine family. The whole sport of bodybuilding owes them all steep debt of gratitude.
