GMV is unparalleled in their coverage of bodybuilding contests, and this event is another in a long line of quality productions. The Australian National Championships is a qualifier for the NABBA Universe and WFF World Championship competitions, as well as for the WFF Universe event held in Germany each June. And the athletes in Australia take a back seat to no one in physique quality.

Covered on this DVD are the WFF Athletic divisions in Teens, Masters (over 35, Classic Over 60, and Vintage Over 70), Open Athletic (classes 1-4 by height), and Overall Athletic in which the four open class winners compete against each other.

NABBA bodybuilding divisions included Junior Men under 21, Novice Men, Masters Men (over 40 and grandmasters over 50), and Open Men (classes 1-4 by height), and the Open Overall in which the four class winners compete against each other.

 The posing routines of the finalists in each WFF division and class within division were covered, and the quality of competition was very keen. Alastair White was a worthy overall WFF champion. Likewise, the routines in the NABBA divisions were shown. Noteworthy was Darren Smith, who won the Masters Over 40, as well as the Open Overall. He was in excellent condition, and his posing routine was lively and somewhat reminiscent of Kai Greene.

This DVD was well filmed and paced, and the photo disc was well compiled and edited. This set is highly recommended for anyone interested in quality competition. (Note that a separate DVD is available for the women’s competition).
