With a new column such as this it's hard to know just where to start. So many exciting things have happened over the past 12 months and will be happening during the coming year. I will endeavour to take you behind the scenes at GMV and share with you many of the interesting things that happen at contests which don't get a mention on our brochures or in our brief descriptions of videos on our site. SITE RE-VAMP The next major revamp of this site happens in Mid-March. We are installing a shopping cart, which will make it much more efficient from our point of view and much easier to use from your point of view. Many of you have asked why certain videos from a few years ago are not listed on the site. Part of the answer is that we have approximately 1000 videos on offer in Australia. Some of these we can't offer in USA for example as our rights to certain videos from USA are for sale only in Australia or PAL countries. Secondly we just haven't had time to list such a huge number of videos as found on our Index. Many of the older videos don't have colour covers either. However we are going to list, as one line entries similar to our printed Index, all of our older videos, as soon as possible. POSTAGE INCREASES As some of you will no doubt choose to stay with the present system of ordering from brochures mailed out to you, this system will continue. But over time, we will gradually cut back the frequency our mail outs as more customers go on line. This is partly because we have just been hit with major increases in postage for both letters (mail outs) and parcels. Surface mail for letters has been discontinued, so everything now has to be sent by airmail. This means that we can only hold you on the mailing list for a period of 6 months if you do not choose to order. If you don't want to order, but want to stay on the mailing list you have the option of paying US$40 per year to do so. As far as sending our the parcels, we will continue to absorb postages costs for as long as we can. WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING The last few months has seen the most intensive and exciting tape period in our history. What a mind blower this was! I spent 4 days taping everything behind the scenes, and at Muscle Beach, Shark Reef, The Expo and (of course) the Pump Rooms. This was the first time cameras were allowed in the Ms. Olympia Pump Room and the resulting video is just the very best!! 2000 English Grand Prix (The Pro show is ready now, and 2 more videos yet to be edited) Women's Muscle Power # 10 - GMV-380 Günter Schlierkamp - Rock Hard - GMV-392 Even as I write I am making my plans for taping the Ironman Invitational in USA and the Arnold Weekend in Columbus, Ohio. I'm compiling a Calendar of contest dates for this site, both in Australia, and overseas. I already have most of the Aussie dates, but if you know of a contest in your local area (anywhere in the world), please let me know and I will include it in the Calendar.
