2004 NABBA Universe - Men's Prejudging and holiday closing days!!

We've just got information on the 2005 San Francisco Grand Prix, and it's going to be quite a lineup. It looks like Meral Ertunc is making a comeback in the Figure, and there are a couple of newbies in the Men's lineup which is very good to see. Heiko Kallbach will be there, and everyone knows how popular he is. |

2004 Olympia Videos Ready Now!!
My best friend in the whole wide world has excelled himself this year. The editing of the Olympia series of videos has been completed, and the VHS VERSIONS ARE READY NOW. Yes, that's right, ready now. The earliest they have ever been, and I know that Andy really burned the midnight oil to get this done so quickly.

Wilfried Dubbels, Terri Robert and Pro-Lean!!
Anyone out there remember the name of Wilfried Dubbels? He was a German bodybuilding star of the 70s, and a long-time friend of Wayne's. Here we have a fascinating look at how Wilfried's physique has matured over the years starting out in 1972 to 1976, and a jump forward to 2004. GMV-586DVD.
Fitness Warehouse in Adelaide is having a grand opening of their second store at Old Reynella on Saturday (216 Old South Road, Old Reynella if you want to come). Adelaide's own Kym Dillon will be there along with the Mix 102.3 Street Crew, a sausage sizzle and lots of other attractions - bodybuilding and otherwise.
Anyway, as a part of the opening celebrations, Nick Jones will be giving a free seminar down there on 7th December called "Get Lean with Pro-Lean". And finally we get to the point of all of this - we have released the Terri Robert Miss Universe video on DVD to co-incide with the event. Chris Cook and Eryk Bui - both winners!!
Congratulations to both Chris Cook and Eryk Bui on their victories at the Nationals at the weekend. We have a great DVD on Chris and hope to shoot a new workout DVD with him next year. (Chris also won Overall, by the way).
As luck would have it , we just shot a full gym workout plus poolside posing with the enormously talented and charismatic Eryk Bui just after the Olympia in October and will be editing it shortly. Look for it early in 2005. Eryk is, quite simply, amazing. An awesome guy to work with - his knowledge is phenomenal. He also has an interesting slant on how he structures his workouts which is quite fascinating and inspirational. And I would send out a challenge to ANYONE to lift such heavy weights at his height. Like I said - phenomenal. |

Four New Releases!!
You have probably wondered what we've been working on for all this time - well, today we have 4 new releases for you. All Australian, and all brilliant. The 4 DVDs showcase the amazing natural bodybuilding talent that we have in this country. First of all, the INBA South Australian Natural Physique and Figure titles. GMV-587DVD - Prejudging and GMV-588DVD - The Show.
And then, the fantastic event under the umbrella of Fame Australia. GMV-589DVD MuscleMania Australia - Prejudging & Show; and secondly GMV-590DVD Fitness Australia Pageant and Ms. Bikini Australia. This was held at the Crown Casino in Melbourne on 2nd October, and I was really pleased we had the opportunity to be there. This was our first ever MuscleMania event. The bodybuilding talent was amazing, and the Fitness competitors - wow!!
I have just put up a link to one of our new models. When we were in USA we were fortunate to be able to work with the very popular and talented ERYK BUI. Watch out for him in the upcoming 2004 NPC Nationals this coming weekend. We predict great things for him. |

Wayne home, and Grand Prix Results!!
Wayne's arrived safely back in the land of Oz, with a bag full of fantastic footage from all the events he's covered over the past few weeks, and some terrific features that we shot together in Las Vegas.
The Results of the English and Dutch Grand Prix have now been posted - it was a clean sweep for Ronnie, but some of the lower placings are very interesting, not the least of which is that Mustafa Mohammad has qualified again for the 2005 Olympia. If ever there was an overlooked physique at the Olympia it would have to have been Mustafa - in my opinion anyway. |

Olympia Results!!
Back from USA and still totally jetlagged. I apologise for the delay in putting up the results for the Olympia - but they are here now.
I've also heard that Ronnie made a clean sweep of the Grand Prix - Russia, Holland, and the UK. I've also heard that Federov didn't compete - even in Russia, but I don't know for sure whether that is true or not. Watch this space. |

Battle for the Olympia 2003!!
Great news! Absolutely brilliant news, in fact! The Battle for the Olympia 2003 has now been released. We expect stocks to be in Australia within the next 4 or 5 days. I suggest you pre-order right now to ensure you have one of the first copies. A-1086DVD. NTSC only, open region. These DVDs will play on most DVD players, and most TV screens (as usual). They will play on all computers.
We are having a great time in USA, and just 2 days ago did a wonderful video and photo shoot wth RAY ARDE. Wednesday we go into Olympia mode and the hard work REALLY starts. | Getting Motivated with Clarence Bass (and Wayne Gallasch)!!
The new Clarence Bass DVD has arrived - The Third Ripped DVD - Motivation. Now, if you want to see me making a complete idiot of myself, then this is the DVD for you. On the other hand both Wayne and Clarence take this motivation thing and really get stuck into it. Their stories are so inspiring, and will make you take that great first step towards a fitness goal. They worked their magic on me and succeeded which was no easy task. Seriously, Wayne and I had great fun making this DVD. Clarence and Carol were fantastic to work with - as always. |

New footage of 1980 Mr. O found!!
No, not quite in an attic, but it is 22 mins of new stuff from the 1980 Mr. Olympia, primarily prejudging, plus posedowns and awards. So now V-103DVDSP is a 2-DVD set of the original 60 minute releasde on one DVD and the extra 22 minutes on the second DVD. This is so rare! We never ever thought it would happen, and we are enormously excited by it all.

Ronnie Unbelievable on PAL DVD - Aussie and Kiwi only!!
After many customer requests we have transferred our Ronne Coleman - The Unbelievable submaster tape to PAL DVD. A-4308DVD.
The reason why it is only on PAL DVD is that we are only licensed to sell this fantastic workout video in Australia and New Zealand.
If we get enough requests for this DVD from other parts of the world we will look into licensing it for supply to other countries.
At this stage we can only supply Aussie and Kiwi customers. It is not available on NTSC DVD from the producer, Mitsuru Okabe at this time. |

We really didn't think it was going to happen until next year - but the producer has bowed to public pressure and I am delighted to be able to say that the 2003 Ms. Olympia women's contests are now available on a double DVD set. A-1074DVDsp. The Ms. Olympia and Figure Olympia are on 1 DVD and the Fitness Olympia is on the other DVD. Please note that this is a double DVD set ONLY and the contests are not available individually. The bonus is a fantastic photo gallery of 154 photos!! Massive!!

National CAPO Powerlifting titles, and Best Sellers for August!!
A couple of weekends ago we did something we haven't done for a very long time. We taped the CAPO National Powerlifting Titles which were being held here in Adelaide. It was a 2-day event, and we have a DVD/video available for each of the days. It was a great experience for both of us, and we thoroughly enjoyed being there. Luckily there were a number of world records broken and it was very exciting seeing it all happen. Wayne will be writing a Hard News all about the event, so I won't say any more now. Wayne's D-Day Experience
Wayne made a trip of a life time to Europe in June, by attending the 60th Anniversary of D-Day.
He was closely associated with the 46 Royal Marines Commando during his visit, and he followed them around to make a video of their tour, and took many photos. We have decided to offer this video and accompanying CD of photos to our GMV customers.

Susi Niederhauser and Pump Room Releases!!
Well, I was supposed to be on holiday this week - but work called ... and here I am.
Two new releases to talk about: The first is the Men's Pump Room from the recent 2004 NABBA World Championships held in Queensland. (The Women's Pump Room will be available next week). Check out GMV-577DVD
The second is really special. A lady called Susanne Niederhauser made waves at the Olympia a couple of years ago. She presented a completely new style of physique. Elegant, cut, and sensuous. Susanne was a World Champion before she gained her pro card, and we were lucky enough to work with her the day after the Olympia. This is the resulting DVD/video. You will see her posing by the pool, and also in quite a number of FIBO appearances. She is in sensational condition. GMV-564DVD

2004 NABBA/WFF Southern Hemisphere DVDs!!
I know it's been a bit of a wait, but trust me, it's worth it. Let's get the warnings out of the way first. This year's NABBA/WFF Southern Hemisphere Championships are available on DVD only (no VHS). They are open region but PAL only so if you are in an NTSC country (North America, Japan) you will only be able to play them on your computer, unless you have a multi-system TV set.
By our standards it was a huge contest with 104 athletes in total taking part. And the quality is awesome - as is the length of these DVDs. V-185DVD the Women's DVD is a 2-DVD set with more than 2 hours. Jo Rogers - abso-bloody-lutely magnificent.
There is also a pump room - available at the end of the week. |

2004 NABBA World Championships Mens DVDs; Best Sellers for June, and more!!
It was a busy week last week. Sean finished the editing of GMV-573DVD 2004 NABBA World Championships: Men - Prejudging and GMV-574DVD 2004 NABBA World Championships ; Men - The Show. (The women's DVD is almost finished and will most likely be up within the next few days). Every time I look at Steve Sinton's photo on the front cover of the Men's Show disk it makes me smile. I never saw a man so happy! And quite right too - it's a real honour to win such a prestigious contest as the NABBA worlds, and Steve was a worthy winner.
Also, you can see that we have the best sellers for June. Günter is back in the mix - that's because he is so popular at FIBO. Ahmad Haidar's DVD romped in at # 3. He's a very popular guy these days.

Aussies do well at the WFF Universe in Germany!!
Well done to the Australian team who competed at the WFF Universe this last weekend in Germany.
I have some limited results as follows - these are all Australians and I don't know the names of all their classes. I have been promised the complete results within 2 days. Hanno Schupp 3rd in his class; Eddie Tannourji was awarded 5th in the Super Body Class; Wayne Wilson was 3rd in his class; Melissa Will got a second in her class - she did very well. And finally popular Manie Hamilton beat all the Europeans to gain a 1st in the Men's Over 60. That was a fantastic result for him - he's an amazing man with an amazing physique.
I also know that the contest promoter, Vasilli Delis, won the Overall title in his section. When you consider the amount of work that goes into promoting a show, I think this is pretty remarkable. |

2004 NABBA World Championships!!
I have the results of the 2004 NABBA World Championships available now. See Results section. Congratuations to Steve Sinton of UK for winning the Overall Mr. World, and to Loretta McMillan of Australia for winning the overall Ms. Figure title. By all accounts it was a great show, with the majority of international competitors staying on for a vacation on the Gold Coast after the event. Editing has already started, but I'm not quite game to say precisely when the videos and DVDs will be ready, but maybe a couple of weeks or so. |

For Fans of Mohammad Mustafa!!
I was just working on updating links on the site (a never ending task) when I came across an old classic. It's V-077 1992 NABBA World Championships, and is notable because one of the stars was Mohammad Mustafa. He took out the World Amateur title that year with a remarkable physique for one so relatively young. Amazing legs! NPC Figure Results from the Iron Man!!
It has just been brought to my attention that I made a terrible oversight in the Results section of our site. I forgot to include the results of the 2004 Iron Man NPC Figure Championships. That mistake has been rectified and a complete list of results is now available. Sorry, folks!
Apart from that, I've been having a great time checking out our site. Not only am I upgrading many of the images that you see, I have also discovered that I need to re-make some covers. Some of these covers are amongst the very first we ever made, and now I can't believe how basic they were. I don't think I'll ever get to retire!!

San Francisco Grand Prix and Events Schedule!!

Executive Decisions and Contest Results!!
I've just made an executive decision. I'm going to buy yet another computer and have 2 people authoring DVDs. Andrew is struggling to keep up with the new releases, so we are going to train Oliver to author DVDs as well. Then we can release some of our classics. How would it be to have Classic Collections # 1 & 2 on DVD? Not to mention all our classic features such as Casey Viator, Danny Padilla, Roger Callard, Richard Baldwin etc., etc.. I reckon it’d be pretty good. The only problem then is to determine the order in which we should release them!!
I drove over to Melbourne on Saturday so that I could attend the NABBA & WFF Southern Hemisphere Championships on Sunday. (I drove back Monday – but that’s another story – for those in other countries it’s 9 hour drive EACH WAY). It was an excellent competition – one of the best nationals for NABBA in recent years with a whopping 103 competitors. You can find the results by clicking here. Australian GP Report
Wayne has written a (slightly overdue) report on the Australian Grand Prix - to read it click here. It's my fault it hasn't been put up earlier. The new web site has caused a few minor problems, which were easily fixed, but I am in the process of doing major work on the display and it's taking forever to do.
I sent out a newsletter today, but kind of stuffed that up as well, so that's why some people got 2 copies. I'm so sorry, but I promise that next time I'll do it all properly. I know that many major companies have huge staff to write and send out email newsletters and maintain mailing lists. But here - it's just poor old me. So if things don't get done in a timely manner blame me, no-one else.

Indoor Rowing Results and TV appearance
Now that the rankings season has finished on the Concept 2 website, I'm very happy to be able to tell you that Wayne came in first in his weight and age class in the 500m, with an incredible time of 1.34.1 (that's one minute and 34.1 seconds folks!). He only started doing this just over a year ago, and I think it's a remarkable achievement. But, I won't let him off that easily. He has to climb to the top three in the 2000 metres this coming season. AND - poor chap - he has to improve his 500 metre time to beat 1.33.1 and he gets the world record. I'm sure he can do it!
I hope all you Aussies out there saw Wayne on George Negus Tonight last week. It was a really nice segment about his work in bodybuilding documentary making, and came out as a very positive spin on bodybuilding in general. |

Ronnie, Jay and the 2004 NOC Results
We now have stock of A-1081DVD Jay Cutler's New Improved and Beyond DVD, and also A-1082DVD Ronnie Coleman: The Cost of Redemption DVD. Both of these DVDs are open region NTSC - same as all the other DVDs we import from overseas. The Jay Cutler DVD is marvellous value - it's actually a 2-DVD set. And Ronnie - well, he's the king, isn't he!! More than 3 hours of great pre-Olympia workout. Inspirational beyond belief.
I have the complete set of results for the Night of Champions. Congratulations to Melvin Anthony, who must have looked simply awesome! He beat Darrem Charles, and I'm delighted to say that both have qualified for the Olympia, as has Vilma Caez & Yaxeni Oriquen from the women's competition. Australian Grand Prix Pump Room
It's been quite a day one way and another. I got a press release from Wayne DeMilia about the NOC - it's gong to be bigger than big this year.
I also realised that I hadn't put up several new releases in the VHS section - these are GMV-569 (Yaxeni Oriquen - Latin Style), GMV-566 2004 IFBB Australian Grand Prix, GMV-568 2004 IFBB Australian Grand Prix Pump Room & Seminar, and GMV-567 2004 Iron Man NPC Figure Championships.
The Australian Grand Prix Pump Room is also on DVD and so is the 2004 Iron Man NPC Figure Championships DVD. These are brand new releases.
I would like to thank all those people who are helping me out with the new website, by telling me of issues they are experiencing. I really do appreciate this because it means I can get them fixed before it becomes a major hassle.

A-1080 2003 Jan Tana Pro Classic is now available. Sorry folks, but VHS only. There won't be a DVD this year. Nevertheless it's a great video, 154 minutes long, and 21 wonderful competitors. It is the last appearance of Claudia Bianchi, because I am very sad to report that Claudia passed away at the beginning of March, from a brain hemorrhage. This is a very sad loss to the world of women's bodybuilding. |

Muscle Men at the 2003 Olympia!!
I think, I really think, this is the last release from the 2003 Olympia weekend. It's GMV-562DVD Muscle Men at the 2003 Olympia. The DVD/video includes a very rare appearance and short interview with one of bodybuilding's greatest all-time stars - SERGIO OLIVA!! There are also a number of rising stars, including the popular Chris Cook and Mat Duvall. Of course available in VHS and DVD.
I guess the time will come when we only do new releases on DVD but we're not quite at that stage yet. |

This year the Iron Man Pro was held in a new venue, with a fantastic Expo, and a massive, massive lineup. It doesn't get much better than this. DVD . Check it out.
And new guy on the block, Chris Cook, has been getting heaps of publicity. Being tall, blond, good looking with massive delts might have something to do with it. Iron Man Pro - what a blast!!
Back from USA already! What a trip we had. The Ironman Invitational was absolutely awesome this year - it's a "must go to event", regardless of where you live. Pasadena is a nice place, the contest hall was really lovely, and the Convention Centre where they held the Expo was fantastic. There was an exhibition hall full of trade stands, seminars galore (by some of the top bodybuilders in the world), workshops for all manner of fitness regimes, nutrition seminars - you name it they had it - and all for $12 entrance fee per day. Best value by a mile, I would say.
Anyway to business: We have now released the second Pump Room from the 2003 Mr. Olympia, shot at the evening Finals. Taped with 2 cameras, the Finals Pump Room was a mass of pumping, posing and sweating guys, all eager to get on stage.
You get more of massive RONNIE COLEMAN than ever before as he pumps his incredible arms, legs and back to the max! He easily wins his 6th Olympia title with his "muscles on muscles". |

Here at last is the first of our own 2003 Olympia videos. We have completed the editing of the whole series of tapes from the Pump Room and behind the scenes, however we did not wish to release the videos till the DVDs were also ready.

The Dutch GP was the last event Wayne taped in 2003, and he wanted us to release it just prior to our leaving for the IronMan - and we leave tomorrow. (Don't worry, the rest of our team will be here to look after you).
In Dorian's Dutch Grand Prix you see a number of new pros, and in particular lots of footage of very popular Dutch Star Ed Van Amsterdam, and fantastic new kid on the block Ronnie Rockel.
What with the Olympia selling steadily (watch this space next week for a very special announcement - can't say more at this stage), and our own Olympia Pump Room tapes all edited and soon to be offered, there's still plenty to choose from.
Also in the next 10 days or so we will have stock of a new Dennis James DVD called Back to Basics (another one different to the Muscletime one - he's hot at the moment) from our German friend Stephan Korte.
New Muscletime DVD plus site problems!!
We have just received details of the new Muscletime DVD, and stocks are on their way to us from Austria right now. We expect them to arrive by the end of next week at the latest. You can order it now, and we will ship ASAP. Naturally, you will only be charged when the DVD is shipped.
Now, we are having problems with the site, and we apologise for that. The fact of the matter is that we have grown too big for our present database. So we are redesigning and upgrading the site, and moving to a new SQL-based system. This will take a few weeks. In the meantime, please be patient. If the site isn't working at the time you are trying to place an order or navigate the site, try again a couple of hours later. I guess one of the problems is that we are overloaded in peak periods, and that causes the site to seize up. If you are having continual problems over time, send us an email and we'll fix it.

The best seller list for January is now up - I guess the biggest and nicest surprise is to see Lorraine March's new Go figure video selling extremely well. It's really filling a gap in the market.
There is new site in Oz that absolutely fantastic. It's being run by USA ex-pat Eric McEntyre, and is called Muscle Force Australasia.
The Comeback (aka Total Rebuild) - on DVD!!
Yep, V-144 The Comeback is now available on DVD, and has also been re-issued on VHS. Naturally the DVD has extra features we weren't able to incorporate on the VHS, but it's still only $39.00 for the DVD, same price as the VHS.
We are very proud to be able to offer this - it's the culmination of lots of negotiations, and it's not available (at this stage) anywhere else. In other words, if you see it offered on eBay or any other site etc., it's most likely a pirate. If you do see it elsewhere, please let us know.
This now makes the trifecta of "The Comeback" "Arnold the Early Years", and "Pumping Iron" all available from GMV.

Markus Rühl - Made in Germany DVD - and the passing of an Australian Legend!!
We have just received stock of the Markus Rühl DVD. It runs for a massive 3 hours according to the box (including out-takes and deleted scenes).
Some of you will have already heard the sad news of the passing of Australian legend Sonny Schmidt. He was the only Australian to ever win a Sandow - for his win in the 1995 Masters Olympia. GMV Productions taped him in the 1993 English Grand Prix as well as the 1995 IFBB English Grand Prix. Here is the Press Notice that we received from Australian IFBB Official and personal friend of Sonny, Tony Doherty.
Sonny Schmidt, passed away 25/01/04 at home with His Family. He was very ill and had returned home on Thursday. His Mum, Son, Brothers and loved ones were by His side. It is a sad day for anyone who had met Sonny, He was much loved and will be sadly missed. He died a free man and had a become a devout Christian. Please pray for the soul of the great man. The King is dead!

New Bill Pearl Book!!
We have now got stock of the new Bill Pearl autobiography - Beyond the Universe. I've read it and it's fascinating. The photos and anecdotes are great, and it's one of those books you simply can't put down unfinished.
For those who are into trivia, the Lorraine March DVD (Go Figure!!) was the one thousandth item listed for sale on this website. That's a lot of stuff on bodybuilding.

Now, I have to apologise for the frustration some people are experiencing when they order from this site. Whenever I am working on the site, and putting up new product, the order system is "locked". Unfortunately there's never a good time to perform these functions. I tend to do it very late afternoon here in Australia, in the hope that few people want to order at this time of day - after all it's in the middle of the night in parts of USA, and very early morning in Europe.
