 1987 NABBA Mr and Ms Britain - Prejudging.
In this DVD you will see some of the best British bodybuilders in the world.
Many of then went on to win or place very high in the NABBA Universe. 1987 was an incredibly tough year. In many ways these lineups rivalled the Universe lineups later in the year.
Top men included Basil Francis, Eddy Ellwood and Steve Avery in the Juniors. All competitors are shown at the Prejudging.

John Kemper 1944-2012 and History of Bodybuilding Part 4!! John Kemper 1944-2012.
IFBB judge and long-time NPC official John Kemper passed away on June 13th. He was 67 years old. John was the founder of the famous Diamond Gym in the 1970s and located in Maplewood, New Jersey.
From his first title as Teenage Mr. New Jersey, John enjoyed an outstanding career culminating in winning the Heavyweight and Overall titles at the 1983 NPC Junior USAs and the 1987 Masters Nationals.
I worked with John twice shooting photos and film in the early 80s. The first time was on the day after he competed in the 1980 Mr. America in LA. Most of the photos in our Gallery on John are from that shoot. The second time was a year later in San Jose, on the day after he competed in the 1981 World Games. He was an outstanding physique and a great model to work with.
It is believed that John died from a heart attack. Our condolences go out to the Kemper family. He will be greatly missed.

Bill Pearl and Dennis Tinerino are both legends in the sport of bodybuilding. This fascinating seminar was taped during their tour of Australia in the early 80s. Both men pose at the seminar and are in superb condition.
The seminar was totally honest with several controversial questions receiving straight answers. Pearls of wisdom from Bill and some words of controversy from Dennis make this a superb and entertaining DVD.

World Record Row for Wayne & 2012 NABBA/WFF International DVDs now released!! 500 Metres Men’s World Record for Wayne - Indoor Rowing.
I’m having to write this, because Wayne is feeling a bit shy.
But this morning he broke the 500 meters Indoor Rowing Men’s World Record for lightweights, 70-79 age class with a time of 1:34.2
This took 4.2 seconds off the old WR held by Dean Smith of USA, set 7 years ago.

1983 IFBB Swedish Grand Prix now on DVD!! 1983 IFBB Swedish Grand Prix.
This is a brand new classic contest release. In 1983, one of the greatest gathering of pros assembled in Sweden to fight it out for supremacy in this northern part of Europe. It attracted the best stars from USA and Europe from the early 80s. What an upset when MOHAMED MAKKAWY toppled the great Lee Haney for one of his rare defeats. Many said that Makkawy never looked better. In 3rd place and in the best shape of his life was the famous German star, Jusup Wilcosz.
Bertil Fox had to settle for 4th place, just one step ahead of Al Beckles with Tony Pearson rounding out the top 6. Includes the 4 star guest posers, SAMIR BANNOUT, RUSS TESTO, CARLA DUNLAP and INGER ZETTERQUIST.

 Lance Dreher New Preview Clip.
Lance Dreher is a two time Mr. Universe and former Mr. America. Lance was the 1981 Overall IFBB Amateur World Champion. Possibly his greatest victory was in the 1986 NABBA Pro Universe where he defeated a star studded field.
One of Lance's greatest body building features is his 21-inch biceps.
These iconic arms were brilliantly displayed for our cameras in Lance's own DVD for GMV shot in 1982.

FLEX WHEELER showed up in the best shape of his life - 229 lbs on his 5'10" frame - fuller yet ripped and detailed as ever. His arms were said by many to be the most perfectly shaped in bodybuilding at this time.

Controversial bodybuilder Steve Michalik passed away May 24th at the age of 63. I only had the pleasure of meeting Steve once, and that was at the 2007 Ironage Reunion in Columbus, Ohio. Steve won Mr. America, Mr. USA and Mr. Universe.

David Kilroy, RIP and a Photo Gallery for Rachael Grice Miss Universe Figure!! David Kilroy, RIP.
We have just been advised by our friends in England that former U.K. Junior Bodybuilding Champ and Record-Holding Power-Lifter David Kilroy passed away on May 15th. He died as a result of an accident at home.
In the 1980s we shot a video with David when he was 20 years old, right after he competed in the Junior Class of the NABBA Universe.
We extend our sympathy to the Kilroy family. David will be sadly missed.

2012 NABBA/WFF Adelaide Grand Prix Championships!! 2012 NABBA/WFF Adelaide Grand Prix Championships.
Held on April 28th, 2012 at the Scott Theatre, Adelaide, South Australia this was the third year of this wonderful event promoted by former NABBA Universe Figure champion, Terri Roberts. In the NABBA Men's Class, Bill Cairns came out on top, with Sven Lindemann having the condition and symmetry to clearly take out the Overall WFF title.
The women were all outstanding with NABBA Overall Women won by Alison Moyle and WFF Miss Athletic Overall won by Janelle McLean. The very strong WFF Miss Glamour Class was won by Michelle Richards. The DVD includes Guest Posing from Adam “Mr. Entertainment” Fennell.

Robert "Bob" Kennedy, RIP and FIBO 2012 news!!Robert Kennedy, publisher of MuscleMag, dies of cancer at 73.
It is with great sadness that we report the death of Robert "Bob" Kennedy on Thursday evening, April 12th, at his home in Caledon Hills, Ont., Canada. Robert Kennedy, who founded Robert Kennedy Publishing, died of complications from cancer. He was 73. Bob was the man behind the Canada-based publishing house that produced bodybuilding and fitness magazines that included MuscleMag and Oxygen. Bob also wrote over 50 books on the subjects of bodybuilding and fitness.
I first met Bob in London at the 1973 NABBA Universe when we sat together with John Paul Getty as joint trophy presenters at this long running British event. From 1974 and onwards I kept in regular contact with Bob, supplying him many photos and the odd article over the following years. I last saw Bob and Tosca at the 2009 Arnold Classic Expo, see photos with Bob here.
“Bob leaves behind a legacy as a pioneer in the field of bodybuilding and physical wellness". As his staff said, “His love and devotion will be sorely missed.” He helped shape much of the fitness industry as we know it today. Our thoughts are with Tosca and the family and friends of Bob Kennedy.
 2012 FIBO starts this week.
FIBO 2012 starts this week and will run from 19th-22nd April, and according to the organisers will burst at its seams this year. As a result, FIBO 2012 in Essen will be the biggest FIBO of all time, and the last one in Essen before the event moves to Cologne in 2013 in order to measure up to its continuous growth and international character.
GMV attended FIBO for many years and we have the archive of all FIBO DVDs from 1986 to 2006.
